How bookings and payments work

What you are paying for

LinkUp Jamaica sells (1) home-service bookings — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair and other skilled trades — fulfilled by independent verified trade professionals, priced per job and paid in Jamaican Dollars (JMD), and (2) provider verification and membership fees for trade professionals joining the platform. All prices are shown in JMD before payment.

1Booking and payment

When you confirm a booking, your card is charged the job price plus a 2% service fee. The full amount is collected by Verified Pro Jamaica Limited and held safely. The provider is not paid at this stage. Your card statement will show LINKUP JAMAICA.

2The job

The provider attends at the agreed time and completes the work. If the provider does not attend, you receive a full refund under the LinkUp Guarantee.

3Completion and your review window

When the provider marks the job complete and uploads completion photos, you have 24 hours to review. You can approve, or raise a concern. If you take no action within 24 hours, the payment is released to the provider automatically.

4Raising a concern

You may raise a dispute within 48 hours of the job being marked complete. Our team reviews the evidence from both sides and issues a determination within 5 business days. Outcomes include full refund, partial refund, full release to the provider, or the provider returning to fix the work at no charge.

5Provider payout

Once you approve (or the 24-hour window passes), the provider's payment — the job price minus their tier commission — is sent to their registered bank account or NCB Lynk within 3 business days.

6Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations more than 24 hours before the start time: full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours: up to 20% cancellation fee, remainder refunded. Full details in our Refund Policy.

7Accepted payment methods

Visa and Mastercard (credit and debit), processed securely by Fygaro. All amounts are in Jamaican Dollars (JMD).
